Bodily Autonomy
By Alexieindia Abrams
I am responsible for this body till death do us part.
I have the right to say NO to being touched in any form by anybody.
I have the right to discuss my treatment concerning my bodily health with my medical provider and be heard.
I have the right to sexual intimacy with the partner of my choosing and the right to say NO to sex from said partner.
My body and what I choose to do with it is my own right.
I choose to love it.
Take medications as prescribed and only as prescribed.
I choose to drink plenty of water for health and beauty.
I choose abstinence from illegal drugs and harm reduction on weed and drink.
I choose to get adequate sleep.
I choose to listen and respond to my body.
I choose to treat my body as a temple.
I choose to acknowledge my body’s strengths, needs, abilities and preferences.
Peace and blessings be upon all.
